Proper aftercare is crucial to the longevity and healing process of your tattoo. If you have any questions regarding your tattoo's healing please don't hesitate to contact me!
Follow Us
The First Day
All tattoos will leave the shop wrapped in either saranwrap or Saniderm with a healing ointment applied on the tattoo. Leave saranwrap on for atleast 2 hours, Saniderm can remain on for 3-4 days. After removing saranwrap gently wash your tattoo with an unscented hand soap. Let dry and apply a thin layer of unscented, sensitive skin lotion.
Healing Process
Handpokes typically heal really well and will be a breeze. Continue washing your tattoo twice per day (morning & night) for the first 5 days, then you can reduce washing to once per day. I typically recommend a dry heal (omit the lotion) but just keep an eye, if your tattoo looks/feels dry feel free to apply a thin layer of sensitive skin lotion, aquaphor, etc.
Touchups
After two weeks of healing, if you notice any ink fall out please reach out and schedule a touchup! They're free of charge and always welcome, your tattoo is a reflection of my work and I want it looking in tip-top shape for years to come.
